  POCSO Act FAQ’s on Prevention of Sexual Harassment

   

   

   Q 1- Details of Measures taken by school to prevent sexual offence with children

  Ans– A special committee on Child Rights, JJ ACT and POCSO ACT was established on 9^th July 2016.

     Suggestion/complaint Box was kept on each floor.

  For the year 2018-2019

  a) A workshop on “Early adolescent development” for the parents of class VII was organized on April 20,2018

   b) A Workshop on “Good touch and Bad touch” was conducted on 19^th May 2018 for the students of classes I to V. The newly elected student members of Sexual Harassment Committee were introduced to them as their body guards.

   c) A “sensitization program” on ‘child rights’ for school teachers and students was organized on July 6,2018.

  d) A workshop was organized for the parents on “ child abuse and prevention” on July 14,2018.

  d)  A Workshop on “safety guide from sexual abuse” was conducted for classes IX & X .

  e) A Workshop on Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and school Etiquettes was conducted for class VI

  f) A workshop on “Active parenting of teens” was organized for the parents of class IX on September 27, 2018.

  Ans: a) CCTV Cameras

  b) Coordinators, Counsellor, Doctor and Principal are always available for staff.

  Q3 Does the school has duly constituted Sexual harassment committee?

    School buses are fully equipped with CCTV cameras along with GPRS.
